The error in question is when the customer details side widget either comes with an error, or refuses to load :
as Zoho recently changed the back end and now has tied this module to the widget.
- To get started with locations in Zoho Books, you first need to enable the feature. Here’s how:
Settings > Locations (under Organization.) > Enable Locations to enable the feature.
- You will receive an in-app notification when the Locations feature is enabled, migrating your organization address details to this module.
The current organization will be considered the Head Office or Primary Location.
- After activating the module, refresh Zoho Books webpage
- Attempt to access the cancelation widget again.
Allow employees to have access to locations data:
The widget requires the locations module to be fully operational and accessible by all users,
this means :
The module needs to be turned on by the admin,
all users to need to push e-invoices need locations access enabled in the user roles to be able to access the widget,
with this, should employees still not have access to the widget after the location module is turned on,
this would indicate that the employee's user role does not have access to locations data for your organization.
To rectify this and enable usage of the Customer details widget, the organization admin will have to go to :
Settings > users and roles > roles > enable at least "view" permissions for all user roles who need to push e-invoices.
(reference below)
once this is enabled, refreshing the Zoho Books page for all users that are already logged in when the change is made in the settings should immediately enable the widget to be loaded.
