Step 0 [ Pre-requisite ] : MyTax Portal Setup (business owner)

The first-time setup must be completed by the registered business owner.

Start Your Registration

  1. Click on the "Please choose ID Type" field and select "Identification Card No."
  2. Fill In Your Identity Card Number in (NRIC)
  3. Click Submit
    The system will process your request and send an activation email to your registered email address.



First-Time Login to MyTax Portal

Account Activation 

  1. Check Your Email for Activation Link
    NotesLook for an email from noreply-efiling@hasil.gov.my.
  2. Click on the URL link provided in the email.



  3. You will be redirected to the Access the Activation Page
  4. Click on the "Please choose ID Type" field and select "Identification Card No."
  5. Fill In Your New Identity Number in  (NRIC)
  6. Click Submit 



  7. To Generate Your Digital Certificate first review your details for accuracy.
  8. Set a secure password and confirm it.
  9. Create a Security Phrase to verify your identity.
  10. Accept the terms and conditions for Digital Certificate Registration.
  11. Click Submit to finalize or Reset to start again. 



  12. A popup will confirm successful digital certificate generation. Click OK to proceed to the login page. 


Logging into the MyTax Portal

Once registered, you can access the portal (https://preprod-mytax.hasil.gov.my/using the following steps:

  1. Click on the "Please choose ID Type" field and select "Identification Card No."
  2. Fill In Your New Identity Number in (NRIC)
  3. Click Submit 

The system will process your request and send an activation email to your registered email address.

Role Selection for Directors and Representatives

After logging in, you may need to specify your role:

  1. On the main page, under Role Selection click "Individual



  2. A popup will appear listing the roles that apply to the user. Select Directors of the Company.
  3. Then select the company name this sandbox registration is for. 



  4. The portal will display the page according to role selected.
  5. Navigate to the "MyInvois Menu" on the menu, and if you see "Preprod" have access to the sandbox account. 


Notes
 For the LIVE MyTax portal (https://mytax.hasil.gov.my/) the menus are slightly different, 

To navigate on the LIVE portal you will have to click the "MyInvois" button as shown below : 


In the following page, clicking on the profile picture and "view taxpayer profile".

You should enter a page with your organization's TIN, BRN, MSIC code and other details. 
Congrats—you’re now ready to use the MyTax Portal (Testing Environment) like a pro!
With your setup complete, you’re all set to navigate its features and ensure a seamless transition when it’s time to go live.
